I had "out grown" the GB's and the fact that it was just some stupid kids? Then I watched a few of them, thought the characters were ridiculous. I also felt the same way when it first came out. And it needs to lose the stereotypical political correctness.Īnyway that being said, I won't condem EGB, I just don't consider it part of the original continuity. If they were going to keep the story going, 10 years later, I would have liked to have seen something a little smarter and not so kiddy friendly. But as far as fitting into the original RGB continuity I really don't care for it. I've got all of the episodes but have only watched a few, Back in the Saddle I've watched twice. and you really dont care for the character anymore. I see no reason for them to have changed slimer. It took me 6 eps before I actually started liking it. you have to get the thing of its not tthe guys I am used to thing outta your head.

Uscm buzz wrote: Actually the EGB show is [retty good. alot of people didnt like it cuz it wasnt Kirk and Spock.

The same example would be Star Trek Next Generation. seemed they were trying to cover all the bases. The part I wasnt crazy about was the stereotypical characters. smaller more powerfull just like computers.

The new equipment was made to update the technology. you have to get the thing of its not the guys I am used to thing outta your head. dont slam me for giving it a chance.Īctually the EGB show is pretty good. Its not like the RGB which were fun to watch. Like I said I never liked the extreme cartoons. Has anyone else noticed that? What are everyones thoughts on that. So how did they empty the trap? I havent really watched most episodes but from what I can tell it only can empty the round traps. Hmm what a coincidence they use the regular packs and ghost traps in those 2 episodes and also Back in the Saddle had the RGB in it but what I want to know is the containment unit is stiill going strong but they changed the ghost traps and is round and they refitted the front of the containmet unit for the new traps but in Back in the Saddle the RGB came in and used the original ghost traps. Maybe because they changed the proton packs and the gost traps.

I grew up watching GB1 and 2 and the RGB and then when I got to highschool I kinda grew outta the ghostbuster thing and I remember seeing in the tv guide probably around 97 or so ghostbusters cartoon coming on and so I turned it on and I was like what the? I thought it was horrible and to this day I still think so. In our minds, the DeLuise factor alone makes this one the winner.Hello everyone. It’s often said that the Oscars reached peaked Eighties weirdness in 1989 when Rob Lowe danced with Snow White for 11 agonizing minutes, and that was pretty damn bizarre, but it didn’t have dancing ghosts, a flying forklift, off-brand Ghostbusters, or even Dom DeLuise. Wonder was in the house to accept the award, but Diana Ross sang the song instead of him. Stevie Wonder took home the Best Original Song Oscar that night for “I Just called to Say I Love You” from the Woman in Red soundtrack.

The people behind this madness probably saw at least part of Ghostbusters, but it’s also possible they based this off nothing but their vague impressions of the movie and a particularly deranged fever dream. For no clear reason, the sequence wraps up with a capped Dom DeLuise appearing in the middle of the melee to ham for the cameras. Midway through, three men who were supposedly the Ghostbusters burst through the wall, but they were wearing bright blue outfits and firing guns as opposed to proton packs.

sing “Ghostbusters” himself, he got to star in a six-minute sketch where he delivered the song as a forklift operator battling ballet-dancing ghosts in a warehouse.
